Tech Spec – RF2

Freediving wetsuit designed for cold water diving

Optimises durability, warmth, flexibility and ease of use

Spec: Design-led by freedivers

Why: The suit has been designed for all stages of the dive, including fit, form, function and simplicity, whilst maximising warmth and flexibility.

Spec: Patterns created in-house

Why: The unique cut and seamline placement optimises movement and freedom in the water specific for the male and female forms, giving the best off-the-peg fit on the market.

Spec: Waterbased glues

Why: Used for bonding of seams and lamination, avoiding harmful chemicals.

Spec: Bodymapped panel placement

Why: The 6mm neoprene body panels give thermal protection to your core areas, whilst the thinner neoprene is used in areas where you need movement and more stretch.

Spec: High grade fastenings and trims

Why: The high grade clip fastening on the beavertail jacket gives optimum security. Reinforced with Malco patches provide extra strength at stress points. Hemline is bound, seam reinforcements and bar tacks providing further durability and strength. Simple but high performance.

Spec: Streamlined 4mm lined hood

Why: Anatomical shape with glideskin on the outside gives increased hydrodynamics with a smoothskin inner face seal to promote a water tight seal. The main hood is lined internally with superstretch for added comfort and to prevent hair snagging.

Spec: Outer linings

Why: Fabric lined outer panels around the core, arms and legs provide stretch comfort and durability. Glideskin across the shoulders and the hood maximises hydrodynamics. An additional Smooth Skin panel on the outer legging waistband ensures a secure seal against the inner skin of the Jacket when worn together.

Spec: Outer Neospan panels

Why: Large front and back panels on Jacket and Leggings provide greater flexibility and movement whilst remaining durable throughout.

Spec: Beaver Tail

Why: This panel has been produced using a stronger nylon lining to provide strength and durability.

Spec: Smooth Cell Metalite Inner

Why: The inner of the suit has a smooth cell Metalite coating; this barrier provides extra warmth retention and is more robust and less sticky than traditional open cell.
